These Cinnamon Rolls are both tasty AND easy to make. This recipe comes together quickly because it doesn’t require the dough to proof (or rise). Instead, I’ve used a simple yogurt-based dough recipe which is nutritious and easy to make.

Cream Cheese Glaze
Ingredients:
🤍 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
🤍 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
🤍 ¼ cup pure maple syrup or may use powdered sugar (add more powdered sugar if desired )
🤍 1/8 teaspoon salt
Cream Cheese Glaze Instructions:
-
Add the softened butter and cream cheese to a bowl. Beat with a mixer for about 2 minutes or until they’re light and fluffy.
-
Add salt and maple syrup and beat for about a minute.
Cinnamon Roll Assembly Instructions:
-
Flour the work surface and the rolling pin. Turn the dough out onto the floured surface and add some flour to the top part of the dough. Note: if the dough sticks, add a little bit more flour.
-
Roll dough out into about a 14 x 12-inch rectangle.
-
Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough.
-
Starting on the long side nearest you, roll the dough tightly (upward away from you) to help it resemble a log.
-
Pinch the seams closed and lay the roll seam side down.
-
Cut each roll into about 1.5 inches (about 7- 8 equal rolls ). Transfer the rolls to a 9-inch square baking dish, making sure they’re not touching one another.
-
Brush the rolls all over with heavy cream and pour the rest into the baking dish. Swirl the baking dish to ensure the heavy cream is equally coating the bottom of the baking dish.
-
Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for about 25-35 minutes or until the dough has cooked through, rotating halfway through baking time.
-
Let sit for 10 minutes, then spread some (or all) of the glaze over the rolls evenly and may save some of the glaze to serve with the rolls. Enjoy!
